I visited this museum while passing through Kansas, and wow, was it beautiful. The exhibits were gorgeous, and I only wished they had more space so I could have seen more art during my time there. The staff were very knowledgable and were able to tell me in depth information about the exhibits that were up at the time, plus the other exhibits that have been shown at the Vernon Filley. They also told me about upcoming exhibits, which made me wish I lived closer to this small town gem! For such a small town, they boast a large range of very professional artists. And the gift shop is great as well - such a fantastic array of goods that anyone would love. The next time I'm in town I will certainly stop by to see what exciting new shows they have.
My wife and I visited the Vernon Filley Art Museum on a September weekend in 2015, and returned again the following week. We had the pleasant opportunity to visit with both the Museum Director and Executive Director. Having grown up in Pratt, we were both impressed that our home town could warrant such a fine institution, and impressed with the quality of the holdings and the knowledge of the staff. Well done!!!

For a small town a very impressive investment in the town. Well displayed and lit artwork that changes often so that there is something for everyone. A real community gem. Well done Pratt.
